A clear, no-surprises path from your first quote to your recovered data — with a fixed written price before any work begins, and no fix, no fee on most jobs. Here's every step, start to finish.
You always know the price before we start, and on most jobs you only pay if we recover your data.
Exactly what happens, from the moment you ask for a quote to the moment your files are back with you.
Start with our online quote tool. Tell it your device and what's gone wrong, and you'll get an instant estimate of the likely cost — no waiting, no obligation. It's the quickest way to see roughly where you stand before anything leaves your hands.
Get the device to us one of two ways: drop it off in person at our Bristol location, or post it to us fully insured. We don't run a collection service. Pack it so it can't move in transit — and for a RAID or NAS, take the disks out yourself and label each one with its bay order. There's no need to send the enclosure or controller.
In-house in Bristol, our own engineers examine the drive to find exactly what's failed and what can be recovered. You then get a fixed, written quote — your custom price for the job — usually within 48 hours. Nothing chargeable happens until you approve it, and on most jobs it's no fix, no fee.
Once you approve the quote, the recovery begins — imaging the drive, repairing physical faults, and rebuilding file systems or arrays as needed. Every part of it is done in-house by our own engineers; your drive and your data never leave our care.
We return your recovered files whichever way suits you best — copied onto fresh media and shipped back to you, or made available through our secure download service so you can get to it straight away. On no-fix-no-fee jobs, you only pay once your data is safely recovered.
Whatever the device and whatever's gone wrong, these don't change.
You always get a written quote before any chargeable work. No estimates that creep, and no surprises on the final invoice.
Every diagnostic and recovery is carried out by our own engineers.
Your files are kept confidential from the moment they arrive to the moment they're back with you, handled only by our own engineers.
On the majority of recoveries, if we can't get your data back you don't pay the recovery fee. A few specialist jobs need a deposit, which we'll always agree with you first.
Get an instant estimate online, or call and talk it through with us first. Either way, you'll have a clear price before anything happens.
