Data recovery for law firms.

When a case-file server fails or a key drive stops working mid-matter, you need the data back quickly — and handled in a way that protects privilege and stands up in court. Based in Bristol, we provide legal data recovery for solicitors and law firms in Bristol and across the UK — in-house, under NDA, with a documented chain of custody and forensically sound methods. Your clients’ data never leaves the UK.

// chain of custody

A documented chain of custody.

Where data may become evidence, how it’s handled matters as much as getting it back. We record the receipt, handling and return of every device, image drives read-only so the original is never altered, and work using forensically sound methods so the recovery is defensible. We can provide documentation of the process for the court, the other side or your client, and where it’s needed we return data in a format suitable for disclosure.

// how it works

How it works for legal teams.

A secure path from failure to verified, privileged return.

01

Get in touch

Call, email or WhatsApp with what’s happened — we’ll advise on the safest next step.

02

Free diagnostic

Drop the device off or send it in insured; we diagnose the fault and confirm what’s recoverable.

03

Written quote

A fixed, written quote and turnaround before any chargeable work starts.

04

Recover & verify

We recover in-house, verify the data, and return it on fresh encrypted media or secure download.

For a RAID or server: take the drives out, label each with its bay order, and send the disks only — we image each read-only and rebuild the array virtually, so nothing is written to your data.
Working to a court deadline? Tell us when you get in touch and we’ll prioritise the job and give you a realistic turnaround up front.

// sending your device in

Two simple steps.

Send us your device for a free diagnostic, and tell us a little about what happened — an engineer will review it and confirm your exact quote in writing before any work begins.

1

Send us your device

Recovering your data starts with getting the device to us. Pack it safely, add your contact details, and send it over — after we run a free diagnostic, we’ll confirm your exact price in writing before any work begins.

How to pack it
  • Package the device into a small, sturdy box or padded envelope.
  • Leave out caddies, cables and power supplies — we won’t need them for the recovery.
  • Include your details inside the package: name, address, phone and email — on a slip of paper, or use our shipping form — then seal it up.

Common questions.

Quick answers to what people ask most.

Yes. We work under an NDA as standard for every legal client at no extra cost, all work is done in-house by our own engineers, and we’re ICO-registered and GDPR-compliant. Your data never leaves the UK.

Yes. We document the receipt, handling and return of every device, image drives read-only so the original is never altered, and can provide documentation of the process for the court, the other side or your client.

We use forensically sound methods and image read-only so the original drive isn’t changed, and we document the process so it’s defensible. Admissibility is ultimately for the court, but the recovery is carried out to a standard that stands up to scrutiny.

Often, yes — it depends on the device and whether the data has been overwritten. We can recover deleted emails, documents and files and return them in a format suitable for disclosure or e-discovery.

We work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, and we’re not a 24/7 operation, but deadline-driven legal work is prioritised. Most recoveries take three to four working days, often faster, and you can reach us out of hours on WhatsApp.

It depends on the device: single drives are from £800 for Forensic work, RAID and NAS start from £1200, and general forensic work starts from £800 — all plus VAT, with a free diagnostic and a written quote first.

Yes. We’re based in Bristol and provide legal data recovery for solicitors and law firms in Bristol and across the UK. You can drop devices off at our Bristol premises by appointment, or send them in fully insured from anywhere in the UK — and your data never leaves the UK at any stage.
