Raid 0 System Rebuild Failure:
Raid 0 Systems fail, if you are running a Raid 0 system and one disk fails you will normally have the option to rebuild the Raid 0 data parity onto a new disk. Sometimes the rebuild process will fail after a few percent or will complete but then raid system will not boot. Raid 0 System PCB or Firmware Failure:
Raid 0 System PCB failure is common problem with hard disks. The PCB is contains the electronic components on the back of the hard drive and allows the hard disk to power up and get recognised etc. Hard drives that have PCB problems normally are completely dead or have burning smell coming form them. Firmware problems on servers can happen in two ways. Upgrading the firmware code for a Raid 0 controller card can cause the raid system to stop functioning. Raid 0 System Missing Data, Corrupt Data, Faulty Raid Controller:
Raid 0 systems can contain data that has become corrupt or missing. This means the file system has become corrupt normally due to read/write issues with the server hard disks. When this happens it means there is either read/write head issues or bad sectors on the server hard disks. A faulty raid controller card is a common issue. These will fail, simply replacing the raid card with a like for like card will probably not allow you access to your raid data.
